Corps Members who completed the 2024 Batch C Stream l three-week orientation course in Imo State have been tasked to consolidate the foundation and training received during the orientation course.

The Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Imo State, Mrs Rachel Idaewor, made the call at the official closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch C stream l orientation course at Eziama Obaire Camp.

She reminded the corps members that having been exposed to various intellectual, leadership and physical training, lectures and the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programme, amongst others; they should now be adequately equipped to achieve a most fruitful Service Year.

Mrs Idaewor emphasised that the Corps Members should vigorously pursue the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Post-Camp training as they commenced their Primary Assignment in the 27 Local Government Areas of the State.

The Corps Members were encouraged to integrate and respect the customs of their host communities while striving to stand out by embarking on Community Development Services (CDS) projects that will be of immense benefit to their host communities and overall national development.

On night travels, Corps Members were advised to desist from embarking on unauthorized journeys or night journeys.

She said, “Remember the adage, it is to be late than the late”.

The Corps Members were encouraged to adhere strictly to the rules guiding the service year.

The event had the Coordinator appreciating all Course Participants, Collaborating Agencies, Corps Members and members of the host community for the success of the orientation course.
